LG unveils its new TV line-up at CES 2026

Every January, CES (the Consumer Electronics Show) hits Las Vegas to showcase the latest tech trends and groundbreaking gadgets. It’s where the biggest TV brands set the tone for what’s coming next - and LG’s announcements are _always_ worth paying attention to.

At CES 2026, LG revealed its latest TV line-up, and there’s a lot to get excited about. Think brighter OLED TVs, smarter processing, more refined designs, and a clear focus on how people actually use their TVs - whether that’s for films, gaming, or just everyday watching. Let’s dive into the details.

LG TVs at CES 2026: what’s new this year?

OLED remains central to LG’s line-up, and they’re improving brightness, colour accuracy and energy efficiency. This means future LG OLED TVs should feel more comfortable in brighter rooms, while keeping those deep blacks it’s famous for.

What is OLED? OLED stands for _Organic Light Emitting Diode_, meaning each pixel lights itself rather than relying on a backlight. Which is why OLED is so good at inky blacks and contrast.

Alongside OLED, LG is introducing Micro RGB - a brand-new panel technology that focuses on colour precision and large screen sizes. RGB refers to red, green and blue, the three primary colours of light that create every colour you see on screen.

AI processing also plays a bigger role this year. LG’s new Alpha 11 Gen3 processor appears across its premium models, helping with upscaling (making lower-resolution content look sharper), motion handling, and automatic picture adjustments. The idea is to give viewers a great picture without constantly diving into menus.

Gaming features continue to improve too, with higher refresh rates, broader VRR support (Variable Refresh Rate, which helps prevent screen tearing) and better cloud gaming compatibility.

LG hasn’t confirmed UK release dates yet, but based on previous launches, we’d expect most models to arrive later in the year. You can keep an eye on our LG TVs range to see how things develop.

LG’s G6 OLED is their flagship TV

LG G6 TV

The G-series continues to sit at the top of LG’s OLED range. And the new LG G6 will be its flagship for 2026.

It uses LG’s second-generation RGB Tandem OLED panel (tandem here means multiple OLED layers stacked together, which helps increase brightness and efficiency). This is paired with LG’s new Hyper Radiant Colour Technology, designed to deliver richer colours without losing OLED’s strong contrast.

With Brightness Booster Ultra, the G6 is around 20% brighter than the G5, making it better suited to rooms with more ambient light.

Processing is handled by the Alpha 11 Gen3 AI Processor 4K, which will make motion smoother and improve upscaling of older content. Compared with the previous Alpha 9 Gen 8 chip it offers:

  • Faster AI neural processing (the part that analyses scenes in real time).
  • A quicker CPU (the central processing unit, which handles general tasks).
  • A more powerful GPU (short for graphics processing unit - important for motion and gaming).

LG has also worked on reflections. The G6 includes ‘Reflection Free Premium’ tech, reducing screen reflectance to below 0.5% - while keeping a glossy finish. Blacks stay black whether you’re watching during the day or at night.

There’s a new Ambient Filmmaker Mode too. Filmmaker Mode is designed to show films exactly as the director intended, and this new version adapts that look to your room’s lighting - useful if you don’t always watch in a dark room.

For gaming, the G6 supports 4K at up to 165Hz (how many times the image refreshes per second), Nvidia G-Sync, and FreeSync Premium Pro. Both these technologies are designed to keep gameplay smooth and free from tearing. Meanwhile, a new Motion Booster mode can increase refresh rates to 330Hz.

It’s also the first TV to support 4K 120Hz cloud gaming via Nvidia GeForce Now, giving you the power to stream high-end games without a console or gaming PC.

Dolby Atmos FlexConnect is included too. Dolby Atmos is an immersive audio format that places sound around you rather than just left and right, while FlexConnect allows the TV to work wirelessly with compatible LG speakers. So everything sounds as good as it looks!

LG C6 OLED comes in two versions

The C-series has always been a popular OLED range, with impressive features at competitive prices. LG is releasing two new models in 2026 - the LG C6 and LG C6H. The key update is that both models will use the Alpha 11 Gen3 AI Processor - the same chip found in the LG G6 and LG W6. That’s a real step up from last year, where the LG C5 couldn’t match the power of its more premium siblings.

LG C6H

The LG C6H uses a Primary RGB Tandem OLED panel, which stacks multiple RGB OLED layers for higher brightness. It also benefits from Hyper Radiant Colour Technology, making films and games pop on screen even in well-lit rooms. Key features include:

  • 4K gaming up to 165Hz with VRR (Variable Refresh Rate)
  • Dolby Atmos FlexConnect
  • webOS 26 (LG’s smart TV platform)

As for screen size, it’ll be available in 77-inch and 83-inch versions. So it’s clearly aimed at bigger rooms.

LG C6

The LG C6 uses an OLED panel with MLA tech - tiny lenses that help direct light more efficiently to boost brightness. It offers:

  • 4K gaming up to 165Hz with VRR
  • Dolby Atmos FlexConnect
  • webOS 26

With sizes ranging from 42-inches to 65-inches, it’ll be suitable for most homes.

LG W6 OLED: the ultra-thin wallpaper TV

At just 9mm thick, the LG W6 OLED is designed to sit flush against the wall for a very clean look. It’s a TV aimed at people who want their screen to blend into the room rather than stand out.

All connections are handled by LG’s Zero Connect wireless box, which sends audio and video wirelessly to the screen. The TV itself only needs a power cable, and the box can sit up to 30 feet away.

The panel is the same as the LG G6, complete with Brightness Booster Ultra, so picture quality isn’t affected by the slim design. And Dolby Atmos FlexConnect allows for wireless multi-speaker setups using LG’s Sound Suite.

LG Micro RGB evo AI TV

LG Micro GB TV

LG also introduced a completely new panel technology at CES 2026 - Micro RGB.

The first model, the LG MRGB95, uses Micro RGB Technology to control red, green and blue light individually and very precisely. Combined with Micro Dimming Ultra (which adjusts brightness in small zones across the screen), it’ll offer more accurate contrast control.

Colour coverage is even more impressive. In simple terms, it’s designed to show colours exactly as they were intended.

  • 100% BT.2020 (a very wide colour standard designed for next-generation HDR content).
  • 100% DCI-P3 (the colour space commonly used in digital cinema).
  • 100% Adobe RGB (a colour space often used in photography and creative work).

Micro RGB TVs are powered by the Alpha 11 Gen3 AI Processor 4K, and will be available in 75-inch, 86-inch, and 100-inch models. The range isn’t meant to replace OLED - think of it as an alternative approach.

LG Gallery TV

LG’s LX7 Gallery TV is designed to blend into your space, and might be seen as LG’s answer to Samsung’s The Frame TVs. It features a matte screen finish to reduce reflections, a Mini LED panel (which uses lots of very small LEDs for better brightness and contrast control), and a detachable white bezel. The bezel can be customised or swapped for a stylish lightwood frame.

It also introduces LG’s new Gallery+ subscription service, giving access to over 5,000 artworks when the TV isn’t in use. It’ll be available in 55-inch and 65-inch screen sizes.

FAQs

What is the difference between LG G6 and C6 OLED TVs?

The G6 is LG’s flagship OLED, with higher brightness and premium features. The C6 offers a similar look and performance (they both use the same processor), but at a more attractive price point.

For most people, the C6 will be more than enough for day-to-day use. But if you’re after a top-end picture, extra gaming features, or maximum brightness for a sunny living room, the LG G6 is the one you’ll want.

Is Micro RGB better than OLED?

They’re different types of tech, aimed at different types of viewers. OLED is the best for contrast and black levels, while Micro RGB focuses on colour accuracy - and large screen sizes.

If you want perfect blacks for movies or mixed lighting rooms, OLED is the way to go. Micro RGB is more about huge screens and content with amazing colours.

Are LG 2026 TVs good for gaming?

Yes. High refresh rates, VRR support, low latency and cloud gaming features make LG’s 2026 TVs well suited to gaming.

Both the LG OLED Gaming TV series and the Micro RGB models can handle fast-paced games, and with support for Nvidia G-Sync and FreeSync Premium Pro, you’re less likely to notice tearing or stutter during gameplay.

When will LG’s 2026 TVs be available in the UK?

LG hasn’t confirmed exact dates yet, but most models are expected to arrive later in 2026.

Keeping an eye on the LG TV range at Electriz is a good way to be among the first to get your hands on them.

Which LG TV is best for home cinema?

When the LG G6 and LG W6 arrive later this year, they’ll be the strongest options for home cinema thanks to their brightness, processing power, and audio options.

If you love films in darker rooms, either of these will give you deep blacks, vibrant colours and an immersive soundstage. The W6 is also a great choice if you want a minimalist look on your wall.

Is it worth upgrading to a 2026 LG TV?

If your current TV is a few years old, the improvements in brightness, processing and gaming support could be noticeable - especially if you’re moving into OLED or trying Micro RGB for the first time.

For anyone still on a TV that’s 4-5 years old or more, the jump in picture quality, motion handling and smart features make an upgrade well worth considering. Check out the latest LG TVs to see which one suits your space.
